GUEST BOOK ENTRIES:

Note from St Paul's committee to members (December 2007):

NODA long service medals depend on your having paid subs to a society each year.
As St, Paul's' February musical has been cancelled, some members will miss out on paying subs.

Why not come and help with the play to ensure your service is continuous?
If you are unable to take part / help out with the play but want to keep up your amateur dramatic 'service', please contact a member of the committee to organise paying your subs which will ensure your service is continuous.

Thanks.

Hi
I can't tell you all how bitterly disappointed I am that 'Pirates' had to be abandoned. I know we were doing a very traditional 'Pirates as far as the music goes - but the production and staging was to have been ultra modern and ultra fun!

I wish Michael and the cast lots of luck for a successful play.

Any of you blokes who are gonna miss the singing will be welcom at FPAC for South Pacific - we rehearse chorus on Mondays and the show goes on at the Albert Halls last week in April 2008. Give me a call if interested - 0791 217 2855.

See you all at the play.
Cheers
Sharron

Hi All
Play rehearsals are going well - everyone (cast & crew) working hard. PLEASE support YOUR society by buying a ticket!

PIRATES OF PENZANCE - even though I'm in the middle of directing the play i have already started working on 'Pirates' - the first rehearsal is Friday 28th September 7.30pm at St.Pauls Church. I just want to say that, whilst we are doing a very traditional version as far as the music
goes - the actual production will be played as I consider G & S inteneded it - the highest satire & the funniest comedy! It will be a very fast-paced and energetic production. As Frederic says' Age shall be no
obstacle to our union' - in other words it doesn't matter how young or old you are - there is a place for you! If you are fit & agile you will be exhausted after floor rehearsals!. I need lots of men - and if we don't get them I have a cunning plan! I promise you a FUN show - please
don't stay away cioz you have an image of 'stuffy' G & S - it isn't - and this production WON'T BE!!
See you all at the play and then at the first rehearsal.
PS: If anyone wants to e-mail me for a Pirates script they can do - as with all G & S there is no copyright and they script is freely available to download of the internet (& EVERY member of the cast will need a script)

Hi there!! I was just browsing the site whilst having a break from doing some work, and noticed that no one had written on here since October 2006!! Despicable I thought!! Anyway, as I'm writing, just want to wish everyone all the best for next week, it's gonna be a corker! I'm especially excited that Jen and Val will be with us on the all important spots!!...shine the lights on me haha, Matthew x x x

Just a word to say a big THANKYOU to my cast and crew for One O'Clock From The House - and, of course, to anyone who helped in any way.
We had a nice rehearsal period and a happy production. Special thanks to Emma for learning her lines early. Please put me on the 'to be considered' list for directing the next play & I'm also interested in directing Pirates of Penzance (I would need a choreographer though!).
Am hoping to join the chorus of 'Fiddler' - but can't make rehearsals until end of October.
Take care all
Regards
Sharron

Just like to comment on a great site regarding the AOS.
My personal interest is in a previous wardrobe mistress in the late 70`s. Her name was Louise Berry and she was also the owner of the dry cleaners shop at the bottom of Belmont Road before the major road devolopments.
My mother took the greatest pleasure and pride in her work for the AOS and it would be good to hear from any of her previous friends and collaborators.
regards from Roger

Just visited your site because this is the church my Great Grandparents were married in. I'm doing some family history research. Is there a way to obtain documents, such as marriage certificates from the church?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Just trawling am-dram sites on a very warm night coz I can't sleep! Missed last couple of shows at St.Pauls - but am looking forward to the play 'Out Of Focus' - great choice! It is very, very funny. I've played the Brown Owl & have directed a couple of Peter Gordon plays - in fact I met him when I went to see one of his plays done professionally!
It's years since I did a show at St.Pauls - but I'm very tempted by Carousel!
Also - if Cecelia aver fancies a break - I'd love to direct a play for you!
